Tate & Lyle acquired the top two office floors (approx. 28,000sqft) of a newly completed building to relocate from their existing premises at Sugar Quay by Tower Bridge. Capitol Group was appointed as the M&E Services Contractor on a design & build contract by the Main Contractor, Denton Associates working from a performance specification provided by the clients consulting engineers. The base build air conditioning system comprised of an active chilled beam system that was modified to suit the new partition layout and supplemented with new DX VRF systems as required. Dedicated air conditioning and ventilation systems were also provided to a new Telepresence Room that required specific noise levels to be met within the design parameters. The new comms room was provided with run & standby DX air conditioning systems. The base build TREND BMS system was modified under our instruction by the incumbent maintainer and also upgraded to provide remote set point temperature adjusters, alarm signals for new equipment, high temperature alarms and a new remote head end for the Client to have local control over the temperatures within their demise. Electrical Services comprised of new under floor power distribution including floor boxes & grommets fed from the base build rising Busbar. The base build lighting system was modified to suit the office fit-out including the Simmtronic lighting control system. Bespoke light fittings were supplied, installed and interfaced with the Simmtronic system. The existing fire alarm system was modified by the incumbent maintainer, Chubb Fire & Security. All works were completed in accordance with the programme in readiness for the handover to the customer.
